Working groups

Working groups consists of representatives from our member companies and where relevant, representatives from other appropriate groups/agencies. Each group is chaired by a member of the PharmaChemical Ireland council to ensure continuity throughout the Federation.

The specific work of each group is restricted for member use only. However if you would like general information on any one of the working groups in particular please do not hesitate to contact PharmaChemical Ireland.

Environment, Health & Safety
This Working group focuses on the environment and health and safety issues.
Human Resources
This working party aims to keep members abreast of new developments in the HR arena and aims to promote the adoption of best practices across the industry.
GMP - Quality/Regulatory Affairs
This group focuses on the Quality and regulatory affairs aspects of the PharmaChemical industry by tracking and monitoring the development of Directives, regulations, notes for guidance and guidelines
GMP - Validation
The work of this group is largely achieved by way of discussion for a at which validation specialists within member companies attend. Members select topics of common interest and workshops are then held to explore these issues
GMP - Training
Comprising GMP trainers and those with responsibility for GMP training, this group monitors trends and practices in relation to GMP training. The group discusses and shares experience of common issues, shares details of training resources and contributes towards a database of conferences and courses.
GMP -Laboratory
The work of this group is largely achieved by way of discussion fora at which laboratory personnel within member companies attend. Members select topics of common interest and workshops are then held to explore these issues. The group carries out surveys where appropriate and develops best practice guidelines as required.
Operational Excellance
This group focuses on the areas of Lean Six Sigma, Right First Time and Continuous Improvement. In addition it examines themes of efficiency, risk and productivity. Membership includes continuous improvement managers and senior managers with a technical operations function.
Research Development & Innovation
This working group was established with the aim of promoting R & D within member companies and encouraging the creation of an environment that is conducive to R&D & innovation.
Security Group
This working Group identifies key security requirements and issues for member companies.
Education/Public affairs
This working group consists of Chief Representatives from PharmaChemical Ireland's council and public relations executives from some member companies. The group dicussees and establish education activities for the sector, and is responsibility of promoting the key messages of the sector and to underline the importance of the PharmaChemical sector
